  Processing Benefits Quality / Cost Benefits of using Acmetard RE
  • In the case of single-stage mixing or hot mixing of rubber compounds, to achieve good processing safety of compounds (to eliminate the generation of processing scrap), addition of Acmetard RE is highly essential.

  • Acmetard RE can also be used as Replasticizing agents for Rubber compounds which either have been subjected to high temperatures for a long period during processing or stored for a long time under different fluctuating ambient temperatures and therefore can not be processed further or shaped without the risk of scorching.

  • In tropical countries (where high seasonal variation of Ambient temperature takes place), judicious incorporation of Acmetard RE makes possible to use the same accelerator system in the hot season as in cold season. In addition, the influence of seasonal variation of temperature during the storage of compounds for shorter or longer periods can be successfully eliminated by adding Acmetard RE.

  • Incorporation of Acmetard RE is highly essential for Rubber compounds based on NR, IR, SBR, BR & NBR for improved processing characteristics.

  • Acmetard RE is widely used in Tyre compounds formulations involving Sulphenamide accelerators systems.

  • It can also be successively used in the manufacvturing of all kinds of Mechanical goods such as Conveyor / Transmission Belting, Vee/Fan Belts, Profiles etc.

  Effects on the Properties of Rubber Vulcanizates
  • The usual dosage of Acmetard RE (0.1 to 0.4 phr) have no effect on the physical properties of the rubber vulcanizate (Modulus, Tensile strength, Tear strength, Abrasion resistance, Permanent Set, Rebound Resilience and Flexing Resilience). Above 0.4 phr of Acmetard RE, certain decrement of Modulus is noticed. However, this can be counteracted by slightly increasing the amount of Sulphur or accelerator in Rubber compound.

  • Acmetard RE does not affect the Ageing resistance of Rubber vulcanizates.

  • Acmetard RE is particularly suitable for light-coloured compounds because it neither affects their inherent colour nor causes discolouration if they are exposed to light. It causes no contact staining.

  • Within the recommended dosage, Acmetard RE does not bloom.

  • Acmetard RE affects neither smell nor the taste of the Rubber vulcunizate.
